Dr. Makeda Turner has almost 20 years of experience working as a higher education professional. Dr. Turner has worked in various roles at the University of Michigan such as Chief Administrator, Assistant Director, Academic Advisor, and Recruitment Coordinator.

Makeda is a proud alumnus of Eastern Michigan University, having earned a doctorate of philosophy - educational leadership, a master of art - educational leadership & student affairs, and a bachelor of business administration - marketing.

In her spare time, Makeda enjoys spending time with family and friends, in addition to participating in workout classes such as zumba and dance fitness.
